How long does a photo session last?
Photo sessions last up to 4 hours.

Where are photo sessions?
Most start at the client’s home, neighborhood, or workplace.  I will be curious to know if you want to go anywhere else, such as a local park, someone else’s home, church, recital, game, etc.

What to wear for photo session?
I suggest you wear your favorite everyday clothes plus feel free to make as many outfit, costume, and uniform changes as you want.

Do you edit your own photos?
Yes. I do all my own editing and color correction. Late night editing keeps me off the streets.

What are metal prints?
Stunning reproduction and durable to last for many generations. Metal prints preserve photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. The image stability is 2 to 4 times that of traditional silver based photo papers. The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily – just avoid direct sunlight.

What are bamboo mounts?
A clean and natural look to display metal prints. 3⁄4 inch thick bamboo mounts are made from organically grown, renewable, and FSC certified bamboo that is beautiful and friendly to our environment. The warm wood and simple design works well in any space.

How far will you travel?
At this time my focus is building my business in the Boston metropolitan area. However, I will travel to photo sessions anywhere in the world if the client reimburses me for travel expenses.

How long does it take to receive proofs?
Within 5 business days of your photo session you receive 100 to 120 online proofs for viewing and choosing. You will be able to mark your favorites and share comments & notes on each photo. This helps with your choosing.

Do you only photograph children?
While I am best known for photographing children for NYChildren, I photograph people of all ages. See examples: Centenarians, Events, Other Portraits, Magazine & Book Covers

Do you also do group and family shots?
Yes. Even when the focus is the children or one person, time can be taken for group shots with parents, family members, friends.

Do you photograph newborns?
Yes. I do not use bright lights or a flash, especially with newborns. I am able to shoot in low natural light.

Do you also do professional headshots?
Yes. I do business photography, including artist, executive, actor, author, and academic portraits. I also do candid portraits for social media photos. If you share a bit about your life and ambitions, it will help get a great photo.

Do you also shoot events?
Yes. I want to hear more about your event to determine if I am the right photographer for you. For large events I will likely recommend I hire a second photographer to guarantee your event is thoroughly covered.

What’s your policy for rescheduling?
Flexible at this time.

What happens if it is raining?
Overcast skies are very good for my style of photography. However, if on the morning of our photo session it looks like heavy rain, rescheduling is no problem.
